The man was hit early Monday on Saint Georges Avenue in Rahway, according to police.

Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian early Monday morning in Rahway. The man was crossing at the corner of St. Georges Avenue and West Inman Avenue at about 3 a.m. when he was hit by a southbound vehicle, according toThe driver fled toward Woodbridge and the man, a Rahway resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s identity will be released when family notifications have been completed, police said.

Police said the vehicle is a dark colored sedan with tinted windows and is thought to be a Nissan. It likely has front-end damage and might have a broken front driver’s side window.
