Cops bust Damien Bieza Rendon as he was about to assault 5th woman
A 20-year-old sushi bar worker accused of assaulting women on the Upper East Side was busted early Saturday as he was about to grope his fifth female victim this summer, sources said.He’s facing charges on four assaults, including a case in June in which he licked his victim’s breast and in another when he pulled up a woman’s dress, cop sources said.
Rendon was officially charged with sexual abuse and forcible touching in connection with three incidents as of late Saturday morning, the NYPD said. “They [investigators] are currently looking at [charges regarding] a fourth victim,” a department spokesman said. When cops took the suspect — who was donning a surgical mask — into custody, he allegedly said, “All I did was touch them,” sources told The Post.It was June 28 when the accused came up from behind a 22-year-old woman walking eastbound on East 89th Street, pulled her blouse down off her shoulders and placed his mouth on her left breast before running off, police said. The victim declined medical attention.
The suspect waited over a month to strike again, this time in Soho, cops said. On July 31, he ambushed a 30-year-old woman walking north past 63 Greene Street at about 2:20 a.m. and grabbed her pelvis, police said. The shaken victim declined medical attention.On Aug. 20, shortly before 2 a.m., he targeted a 33-year-old woman in front of 142 East 98th Street, police said. In that incident, the creep pulled up her dress, causing the victim’s underwear to tear, cops said.
