It will come as no surprise to anyone watching the news to hear that surgical/face masks are in high demand right now. Panic buying at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic by concerned citizens has led to a shortage in many countries around the world – leaving people like doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers on the front line without basic, essential supplies.
In the past week, many have stepped up to the plate to help alleviate this shortage. Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss announced he was athey were shipping all unused medical supplies from set to hospitals in Los Angeles. Now, over the weekend, French fashion brand Coperni has released a very easy-to-follow tutorial showing people how to make their own face masks at home if they feel inclined to wear one.
