Home construction and sales are underway in one of the largest new residential communities in the fast-growing city of Midlothian.
The community will also have commercial land for shopping centers or restaurants as well as 30 acres of land for townhomes.
Hanover bought the property in 2019, just before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. That gave the developer more time to plan the project, Luedtke said. A plot is marked as sold in a portion of BridgeWater, a master-planned community that spans over 960 acres, in Midlothian on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Plano-based Highland Homes is among the first builders to begin sales in BridgeWater. The company has 92 home sites in the community, with its homes starting in the $400,000s.Even before opening its model home this month, the builder had already sold 30 homes since February.
