Conroe police arrest man on suspicion of fatally shooting estranged girlfriend
Conroe police have arrested a man who they accused of fatally shooting his estranged girlfriend multiple times Saturday afternoon.
Officers from the Conroe Police Department were called to the 1300 block of Farm to Market Road 3082 around 3:17 p.m. Saturday for a report of the shooting, officials said. There, they found Yuliana Quintana, 22, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, officials said. Quintana was taken by ambulance to HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe, where she was pronounced dead.
Police identified Corando Garcia Jr., 21, Quintana's estranged boyfriend, as the potential gunman, police said, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on suspicion of the fatal shooting. Conroe police said they later located Garcia and negotiated"a peaceful surrender," after which Garcia was detained.
