Associations, Labour, US NewsCONEXPO-CON/AGG — A 3D printed statue of a woman in the construction industry, the largest of its kind in the world at the time, was introduced at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020.
“As North America’s largest construction show, we recognize the important and growing role women play in our industry, and CONEXPO-CON/AGG has invited a number of influential women to share their experiences working in construction,” said CONEXPO-CON/AGG show director Dana Wuesthoff in a statement. The new area will also host a discussion panel featuring construction entrepreneur Missy Guerrero Scherber, Kayti Bjorklund-Strandlund and Ry Bostrom titled, Changing Culture with Professional Development: How a School Teacher Duo is Changing the Industry as We Know It, on Thursday, March 16 from 1 to 2 p.m. PT. Bjorklund-Strandlund and Bostrom are former educators who battle stigma and dated approaches to team development through their work at DW Companies.
