The service provides housing for people with complex, overlapping mental health, physical health and addictions issues.
A housing facility for up to 10 people with complex, overlapping mental health, physical health and addictions issues officially opened in Prince George on Friday.
"Every person in British Columbia deserves a home where they can feel safe and live with dignity," Whiteside said in an statement released on Friday. "By making sure people are housed and provided compassionate health-care services, we're helping members of our community stabilize their lives and build new connections to break the cycle of homelessness."
The facility will have a team of health care providers including nurses, mental health and substance abuse clinicians, and psychologists to support residents.
