Submitted photoCommunity advocate Heather MacDonald has announced her candidacy for the Democratic nomination for the redrawn 103rd House District seat representing parts of Dauphin and Cumberland County.
“I am dedicated to giving back to this community that’s given so much to me. As someone who lived in poverty as a single mother, I’ve experienced how a social safety net and a strong education system can help people transform their lives,” MacDonald said. She is involved in a number of community organizations including serving on the board of the Central Pennsylvania MLK Day of Service Committee and organizing drives for the Central PA Blood Bank, CWS Lancaster Immigration and Refugee Program, and Speranza Animal Rescue.
