During this time, I’ve been asking myself why we were “lucky” to get the services while others in P.E.I. may not have had the opportunity. If we didn’t have the means, my wife would not be alive today. One would think that the provincial government would have received the message that operating a politicized health-care system is not in the interest of Islanders and that it continues to handicap the province’s ability to deliver healthcare services that contribute to good outcomes. Unfortunately, successive provincial governments have failed to heed the message.
P.E.I., because it’s the smallest province, would benefit the most from an arrangement designed to improve the health of all residents.
