which would undoubtedly create negative impacts for this beautiful and critical natural environment.
Obviously, we are very alarmed and deeply concerned about the prospect of a mine on or near the mountain.Surely there can be no question that more economic growth in our area is desirable, but at what cost?Firstly, the centerpiece of our community development is our beautiful, much appreciated and well-utilized trail system on Coxheath Mountain.
There is the overriding concern related to the potential negative impact on the water supply of area residents, as well as damage to the aquatic life in Gillis Lake, Blackett’s Lake and the numerous brooks and streams which flow down from the Coxheath Hills.
