Around 5 cm of snow had fell in the Regina area, according to volunteer reports to Environment Canada. No snow routes were declared.
“The two times of year when we get our heaviest snows, that’s in the spring and in the fall … we call April ‘Colorado Low season’ for a reason,” Lang said.
There were volunteer reports which indicated snowfall in various parts of the province submitted as well, which Lang noted the amounts were “highly variable.” “It’s still ongoing so that’s what makes it even harder to figure out how much is falling because it’s still falling,” Lang said that morning before noon.
“A lot of what has fallen already has melted,” said Tyler Bien, manager of roadway operations for the city.
