The Governor of Colorado announced this week that the state would begin providing bus transportation for migrants seeking to travel to other states. This mirrors similar programs enacted throughout 2022 by states along the southern border.
, Colorado Governor Jared Polis claimed that a majority of the migrants in Denver are seeking to travel elsewhere, stating that “no one should play politics with the lives of migrants who came here to escape oppression, and in Colorado, we are honoring our values of treating people with dignity and respect.” One of the bus locations is New York City.
