Prosecutors say they have new evidence against Seuxis Hernández, who is also wanted by the U.S. on drug charges
BOGOTÁ—Colombian authorities rearrested a former commander of the FARC rebel group who is wanted by the U.S. on drug charges, just minutes after he was released from jail by a special court order that triggered an institutional crisis and roiled the country’s troubled peace process.
Police ushered Seuxis Hernández, slumped in a wheelchair, out of the La Picota prison here Friday following orders from a tribunal that Wednesday rejected a U.S. extradition request and granted his release.
