Dallas Madison captures Class 3A state title with a 53-51 victory.

Dallas Madison defeated Cole 53-51 in Class 3A state championship on Saturday, March 12 at the Alamodome.Before their final run together, Cole coach Noe Cantu hugged each of his senior starters as they took the Alamodome floor Saturday morning.
The Cougars, making their fourth straight state tournament appearance, fell short in their back-to-back title bid. Livingston, who’s signed with Cal State Fullerton, led the Cougars with 14 points. After trailing big early, Cole battled back with a third-quarter run capped by a 3-pointer from Blackmore that put the Cougars in the lead for the first time at 40-37 with 0:16 left in the third.
The Cougars had one last chance when Blackmore worked the ball to the left corner, but his contested 3 fell short and the buzzer sounded during a scramble for the rebound.
