HERE IT COMES - A cold storm system will slowly cross the area through Thursday, bringing widespread rain and snow to Utah and SW Wyoming.
The first storm of November will bring cold, wet weather to Utah and SW Wyoming through tomorrow. Valley rain and mountain snow will begin in Northern Utah this morning then spread south this afternoon and evening.
Rain will mix with snow in the valleys at times today and then change over to snow this evening. Most accumulation will be on grassy surfaces and on the benches. Heavy snow is expected in the mountains. The storm strengthens moving into Central and Southern Utah tonight, with significant snow in the mountains and the possibility of up to several inches in the Western and SW valleys. Travel could be very difficult in these areas later tonight into Thursday morning.Wednesday: Getting colder with rain & snow likely. 1-3 inches on benches. Afternoon temps: Low to Mid 40s.
Wednesday Night: Snow showers. 1-2 inches on benches, minor accumulation on grassy surfaces in the valley. Lows: Mid 30s.Wednesday: Becoming cloudy with rain likely in the afternoon. SW winds 15-25 mph in the afternoon. Highs: Low 60s.
