Brits urged to check up on elderly and other vulnerable people as UK Health Security Agency warns of dangers from cold weather
Snow is forecast to fall in Nottinghamshire next week as a cold weather alert has been issued for the whole of England. According to the BBC, the Nottinghamshire residents could see snow and sleet falling between Tuesday and Thursday .
“High pressure is expected to become displaced towards Greenland with a cold north to north-easterly airflow becoming established across the whole of the UK during next week. There is the potential for some wintry hazards from frequent snow showers or prolonged spells of snow in places. “Under this regime, some areas are likely to remain drier with some sunshine, the best of this across inland areas and in the south and west of the UK. During the later part of the period confidence decreases significantly.
