The president canceled a trip to Poland to stay behind and monitor the storm, but has been engaging in personal Twitter spats and golfing in Virginia.
Trump previously attacked President Barack Obama for golfing while in office, arguing he should have instead been focusing on government work. When he took office, Trump also said he would be too busy to go golfing, though this has proved false.
"I mean, it's not us nitpicking, it's using his own criteria for judging presidents. And by his own criteria, he sure is golfing a lot," Cooper added. Pamela Brown, CNN's senior White House correspondent, then noted there have been four Category 5 hurricanes since Trump took office, though not all made landfall."If any president should have intimate knowledge of a Category 5 hurricane it should be President Trump," Brown suggested.
