Alec King, Communications and Public Relations Lead for the Canadian Mental Health Association of Durham , says they are hoping people connect with the personal stories they hear from others this week.
The Durham branch of the association is located at 60 Bond Street West and they offer a number of services. He added they also offer transgender care and have a nurse practitioner-led clinic, which is a full-service primary care service provider .“For most of our services, people just need to either call us or come down in person or send us an email,” said King. “That’s all you need to do to get access.”
The association is hosting a Client Safety Expo for Mental Health Week. It’s happening at the McLaughlin Branch of the Oshawa Public Library May 5 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
