Weather experts predict rain to arrive Saturday, Dec. 31, to Southern California.
Clouds will hang over Southern California for the next couple of days, with rain predicted for the weekend that could dampen New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Monday should start out dry, but there is a 30 percent to a 40 percent chance of rain that day, said Kristen Stewart, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. Most of the county still stay dry until Saturday, which is expected to bring an inch to two inches of rainfall, she said. In the eastern San Gabriel foothill areas, the anticipated rainfall could be more than two inches.
In those counties, Saturday’s rain could bring around 3/4th of an inch of rain to the coastal areas plus one inch or more to parts of the Inland Empire, he added.A storm system slowly moves out of the area south of San Bernardino Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022.
