Upgrading his home studio during the pandemic inspired the local musician to write some new tunes
Local singer-songwriter Gary Willard began playing guitar at 8-years-old and was in his first band at 13. Because no one else in the group wanted to sing, he took over lead vocals.Over time, his voice and confidence grew, and he developed leadership skills that served him well with various Cleveland groups.
When that band broke up, he performed in a duo with a good friend for a few years.
