Cleveland Cinemas will commemorate the lives and works of two lately deceased Hollywood giants with special screenings at the Cedar Lee this month.

Sidney Poitier, the first Black man to win the Academy Award for Best Actor, died last week at the age of 94. Cleveland Cinemas will screen two of his most memorable films on Monday, January 17, Martin Luther King Day., the 1964 film in which Poitier plays an itinerant worker who encounters a community of East German nuns, and for which Poitier won his Oscar, will be shown at 12:00 pm and 4:55 pm.
