Clear Springs relishes underdog role in Region III-6A soccer tournament

Clear Springs’ 13-6-7 record isn’t likely to strike fear into many potential Class 6A boys soccer opponents.

“We just try to work harder than every team we play,” Foster said. “That’s why we keep winning. We might not be the best team on the field every game, but we work harder than our opponent. Our defense is good, but we wouldn’t be as strong without our midfielders and strikers dropping back to help us.”

Which leads to the obvious concern for Clear Springs: The Chargers have scored only two goals in three playoff games.DeBondt hopes a jolt of offense appears this weekend.
