Councilman Clayton Perry slated to appear in court on drunken driving charge
Embroiled District 10 Counciman Clayton Perry makes his first appearance at City Council on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023 about two months after he took leave following a drunk driving charge in November.
The hearing will mark the first time Perry appears in court since he was arrested on Nov. 10 and charged with fleeing the scene of an accident, a Class B misdemeanor. Perry, 67, was taken into custody again Dec. 28 on a charge of driving while intoxicated, also a Class B misdemeanor. Each charge is punishable by up to six months in jail and a fine up to $2,000.
