Two mums-to-be weigh their options
I have loved, and benefitted from, a lifetime of popping into museums and eating out all of the time. I grew up with ashop addiction and still to this day navigate all of my favourite cities, including New York, Florence and Copenhagen by my favourite cafes.
I’m a woman of extremes and so the suburbs was never an option for us. Those cookie-cutter houses and perfectly preened drives with the standard '5-minute drive to a Tesco' just make my heart hurt. But when I thought about raising a baby in the centre of London I found myself uncomfortable too. So, that just left the countryside as an option…South East London when you’re a young, carefree couple, is an amazing place to live.
