Plans for the development of a piece of city-owned property on St. George Boulevard are gradually moving along as city officials issued a call for qualified parties to help decide what to build there.
Earlier this month, St. George issued a Request for Qualifications notice for parties that can help the city with a conceptual plan and design for what may be built at the corner of 100 West and St. George Boulevard.
The 3.61-acre vacant property sits next to Ancestor Square. City officials said in a press release they want the next-door project to "build upon the foundation of Ancestor Square and seamlessly integrate into and enhance our community." "We want to find the right team to partner with to help us get to the correct vision of what we want to see there," Chad Thomas, the city's economic development director, told St. George News.
