THUNDER BAY — The city is seeking feedback on the potential of closing the majority of outdoor rinks.

Earlier this year, council had directed administration to find $700,000 in staffing cuts and $500,000 in service cuts. As part of that process, city administration proposed eliminating 31 outdoor rinks and leaving just a handful remaining across the city. The survey is looking to see how many people utilize outdoor rinks and if the closures are supported by community members.
