The City of Circleville voted to fire its police chief and deputy chief Wednesday in the latest development for the embattled administration.
The agreement comes after the city said it wants to avoid further disruption within the police department and legal costs.
WSYX reporter Stephanie Duprey: “People had and have questions. I’m sure people would love to hear from you guys directly rather than a statement on a piece of paper." Duprey: “I understand, but is there anything else you can say to the community in regards to what happened tonight? Can you explain to people on camera what's happening?”Circleville city leaders and council swiftly left Wednesday night's special meeting after announcing the separation and release agreements.
The Circleville Police Department has been covered in controversy for months now. Brooks says he wants to see a full investigation into Baer and Davis.
