while he attended Beachy Cove Elementary, is not accepting an apology from Interim English School District CEO Terry Hall.
The Churchill’s posted to Facebook this weekend that Hall reached out to them personally on Friday to apologize for the discrimination suffered by Carter and the hardship their family had endured for the last five years.Hall indicated to them that the school district has acknowledged and accepted the decision of the chief adjudicator and that the district will not be appealing the decision.
They were told that a formal written apology is forthcoming. A brief letter was received from Hall via email a few minutes later. The Churchills say they returned a detailed, four-page response to the district explaining why they are rejecting the apology. They want to be appointed as parent representatives on a steering committee for deaf and hard of hearing students.
