Christopher Nolan discusses his conditions for taking on directing duties for James Bond 26, and his demands potentially could be dealbreakers.
Christopher Nolan once more addresses whether he would consider directing James Bond 26 with some conditions. Nolan's World War II historical drama Oppenheimer is set to hit theatres on July 21, starring Cillian Murphy as the titular scientist who would introduce the deadly nuclear bomb to the world. The James Bond franchise is currently set to enter a new era with its 26th theatrical entry, as the series will move beyond Daniel Craig and choose a new actor to portray 007.
"I love those movies, the influence of those movies on my filmography is embarrassingly apparent, you know, so there's no attempt to shy away from that. I love the films, and it would be an amazing privilege to do one, at the same time when you take on a character like that or work like that, you're working within a particular set of constraints.
What Could Hold Christopher Nolan Back From Directing The Next James Bond? Nolan's filmography builds a strong case for him kicking off a new era of the James Bond franchise in terms of the narratives his movies have featured and what he could bring to the franchise's production.
