Devlin, suggested: ‘Rather than keeping half of your tree bare, why not go for a half parasol tree this year to remove any temptation from your cat? This way the decor is out of your cat’s reach, whilst still keeping the festive feel in the room.’Place fairy lights towards the centre of the tree so that your cat is less tempted to chew on them.
It is also best to unplug the lights when you are unable to supervise your cat as if they do chew through the wires, they risk getting electrocuted.In order to prevent your cat from toppling the tree on one of its escapades, its best to secure it. You can do this by placing the tree in the corner of the room, wrapping fishing line around the trunk and securing each end of the wire to hooks that you’ve placed on your wall or windowsill.
