"This virus came at me, I’ve never seen anything like it," he recalled, adding that he had a fever of more than 103 degrees"that would not quit. And it was like somebody was beating me like a piñata." He was shivering so much that he chipped a tooth and was up all night and hallucinating. The governor replied with a laugh:"Well there's a lot of metaphoric reality in that one. I thank you for sharing this one with us. Very kind of you. Obviously the fever has affected your mental capacity."
"Now that I know the fight I'm in for, I'm more comfortable. I see why it takes people out," he said Thursday."A lot of people are fighting this alone and I cant imagine it. I can barely keep it together and I have everything done for me... We really have to remember to keep our connections to each other, because otherwise there's no way through."
