A Chinese woman who sneaked into President Trump's Florida resort this spring has been sentenced to eight months in prison, but will leave custody in five days because of time she has already served
Yujing Zhang, a 33-year-old businesswoman from Shanghai, faced up to six years in prison after she was found guilty in September of unlawfully entering a restricted zone and making false statements to a federal officer. Deemed a flight risk, she has remained in custody while awaiting sentencing. She has been in custody since March 30, meaning she's already served most of her sentence, according to the judge.Zhang was also sentenced to two years of supervised release and a $125 fine.
" And in an interview at the Secret Service satellite office nearby, she gave a third reason: She'd been sent by a Chinese friend,"Charles," to attend the event and"attempt to speak with a member of the President's family about Chinese and American foreign economic relations.
