The Jacksonville Humane Society is hosting young animal lovers from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday for an event to practice their reading skills and put their love into action.
JHS is joining with Petco Love and 50 animal welfare organizations across the country on Saturday for a “Read and Share Your Love” event to celebrate actress Kristin Chenoweth’s book “What Will I Do with My Love Today?”
The shelter is hosting young animal lovers from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday for an event to practice their reading skills and put their love into action. Chenoweth’s picture book highlights the “made for each other” adoption of her rescue dog, Thunder, and the need to help others in your community.Parents of young animal lovers can learn more about the Jacksonville Humane Society’s “. Families who come out to read on Saturday will be entered into a drawing to win a free copy ofand children will receive free Petco Love T-shirts while supplies last.
If they cannot attend, parents can join the fun by sharing their child’s own stories about ‘what they did with their love to help pets’ on social media via hashtag #LoveToday. Petco Love will also be giving away autographed copies of Chenoweth’s book on Instagram via @PetcoLove April 21-26 in celebration of National Kids and Pets Day.Share Your Love”
