Two other people were taken to the hospital in stable condition
PHOENIX — A child is seriously hurt after being hit by a police car pursuing a vehicle near I-17 and Peoria Avenue in north Phoenix Saturday morning.All told, three people were hurt in the crashes.
A child was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Police have updated the child's condition to be stable.Police say the pursuit started after a sergeant patrolling near Metro Center saw a vehicle driving recklessly.It then crashed into multiple cars at Peoria Avenue.Right after the crash, a child got out of a vehicle that had been hit, and the patrol car hit the child while trying to avoid the crash.The crash remains under investigation.
