The same man was caught on surveillance video breaking into a parked car, one neighbor said.
A shooting in Lincoln Square happened when a man tried to break into a building, Chicago police said. The incident was caught on video.Video from a security camera at a nearby building shows a man breaking into a parked car in the alley around 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2600 block of West Lawrence Avenue.A resident of the building noticed what was happening, came out on the balcony and confronted the man seen in the car.
"So he dropped the bike, and started running with this terrible limp down the alley," one neighbor said. "I don't believe you should shoot them unless there's a danger of your life. That's what makes us a civilized society," one neighbor said.
