Widespread frost was possible in the outskirts of Chicago with temperatures in the low 30s.
More of the same was expected Wednesday into the night hours when temperatures were expected to dip below freezing again in portions of the area away from Chicago, officials said.Rain and snow showers were possible in the Chicago area before noon Tuesday, with a slight chance of rain showers between noon and 1 p.m.
After 11 p.m. Tuesday and midnight, outskirts of Chicago were expected to experience frost with a low of around 35 degrees. More sun was expected in Chicago Wednesday and Thursday until showers return Thursday night. Morning conditions at O’Hare International Airport are overcast at 39 degrees, and at Midway Airport light rain at 41 degrees.
