Chavez softball edges San Fernando for second straight City title in walk-off fashion
Ramos’ walk-off hit gave the Eagles the two runs they needed to pull out the win. Ramos was walked three times and flew out to left field before coming up for her final at-bat.
The Tigers scored two runs in the top of the first inning for early momentum. Zoila Vitela was walked, then Deniz drove her in with a double. Melissa Cabrera hit a ground out to get Deniz home. Villasenor extended the lead to 5-2 in the fourth inning with a double, but the Tigers scored three runs in the top of the fifth to tie the game.
