Back when she was a junior at Wake Forest, Hamby got in touch with the former director of regional sales at Jordan Brand to ask for an internship.
This year, she was named the WNBA’s Sixth Woman of the Year, the best and most valuable player in the league coming off the bench, for the second season in a row. Also, she’s the latest face of Jordan.Despite some steps in the right direction, the WNBA is leaps and bounds behind the NBA when it comes to so much. Female basketball players make seven times less than their male counterparts.
