The charges that ex-Jet Marcus Maye pointed a gun at a car full of teenage girls in a road rage incident have been dropped.
Travers Mackrel of NDSU, an NBC affiliate in New Orleans, reports that The Jefferson Parish District Attorney is declining to prosecute Maye in the incident, citing “insufficient evidence.”
Maye, currently a safety on the Saints, was arrested in September and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm. “Maye was identified as the driver of a black SUV that was involved in an incident in which he is accused of pointing a firearm at another vehicle that was occupied by several juvenile females,” the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office said at the time.

Maye was drafted by the Jets in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft and played for them for five seasons before signing with New Orleans in free agency last offseason.
