Musical artist Chance the Rapper was surprised to run into actor Martin Short on a flight after he offered to switch seats with the rapper’s daughter.
In a tweet, the singer gives a shoutout to Short, a prolific actor and comedian, calling him “an awesome person” as he offered to swap seats with Kensli, Chance’s 7-year-old daughter.
He says he found out he and his daughter were not sitting together on the flight when a “kind older gentleman offered his seat,” only later realizing who he actually was. “We both said thank you and as he stands up, I realize it’s THE Martin Short!!” the rapper wrote in a tweet Sunday. “Kensli freaked out,” he continued, “she’s obsessed with ‘The Santa Clause 3,’” in which Short plays villain Jack Frost.
