Chambersburg and Cedar Cliff battled for 90 hard minutes in a physical game Thursday at Lowther Field, but through two overtimes, it came out to a scoreless tie.
Chambersburg moved the ball early getting a nice flow from Lily Cornwell, Lily Nichter and Summer Jones, but Cedar Cliff’s defense, led by Abby Meyers, Eloise Billis and goalie Charlotte Loudon stayed composed and held its ground. Cedar Cliff, playing without standout and offensive threat Ella Frey, managed to pick it up and apply offensive pressure with Taylor Barnes and Katie Koppenhaver leading the way, but the defenses didn’t crack.
