Since putting Christian Cooper's life at risk, Amy Cooper has been put on administrative leave by her employer and 'voluntarily surrendered' her dog.
on his Facebook page that he had asked Amy Cooper to abide by dog-leash rules when he started taping her; that’s when she told him, as seen in the video, that she would call the police and tell them “an African American man” was “threatening” her.by Christian’s sister, Melody Cooper — begins by showing Amy in the park with her dog off a leash. She notices Christian is filming her and begins to approach him, asking that he stop.
Amy places the call, removing her mask to speak on the phone. As her dog appears to fight for its freedom, apparently struggling to breath, she says, “I’m sorry. I’m in the Ramble, and there is a man — African American, he has a bicycle helmet — he is recording me and threatening me and my dog.” At this point in the video, her dog cries out as she appears to continue to try and control it using its collar. Amy then also cries out on the phone, raising her voice as it begins to waver and break.
