Waynesboro police said they received reports of a suicidal man with shots fired around 12:45 p.m. at an apartment building on the 200 block of West Second Street. Police set up a perimeter around the building and evacuated other apartment residents. Police said they entered the man’s home and conducted a search. Waynesboro police said Pennsylvania State Police took the man into custody. His identity and any pending charges against him have not been released as of Thursday morning.
