“Once they get on, they do not want to get off and it is fantastic,” Dr. Saia said. “Often there are tears and it’s really just a wonderful event.” Variety’s hope is to give children with disabilities a chance to maximize their potential where in most cases certain activities would limit them. A special parade was held by employees of CAIU after the children received their new rides, giving them a chance to test out their new wheels.
