AUSTIN, Texas — The numbers are out and Central Texas is taking the cake in having some of the fastest-growing cities in the nation.Census numbers released Thursday show Austin, Texas, is now the 10th most populous city in the U.S. Texas also tops the list for the most fastest growing large cities and towns by numeric change and the list for largest numeric population gain in 2022most populous city in the United States, with a population just shy of 1 million.
Georgetown, Texas, ranks first in the most growth, coming in at a 14.4% population increase. Kyle, Leander and Little Elm all placed in top five of fastest growth as well.
