In the aftermath of Cavs president of basketball operations Koby Altman’s arrest over the weekend, the team released an updated statement, holding Altman accountable for his reckless actions that ended with an OVI charge.

“We hold our team members to a high standard of conduct and expect leaders at every level of our organization to represent the Cavaliers with integrity, professionalism and accountability,” the Cavs wrote Wednesday morning. “We will continue to closely monitor the facts and circumstances of this matter and await resolution of the legal process.

Troopers then observed signs of impairment and placed him under arrest, according to a patrol statement. He refused a breath test to determine his blood-alcohol content. Altman, 41, of Bratenahl, was charged with committing a marked-lanes violation and operating a vehicle while impaired, according to the patrol.

Altman was said to be “respectful and cooperative with troopers” throughout the 15-minute traffic stop. Although Altman was not present in Cleveland Municipal Court Tuesday morning, his attorney pleaded not guilty on his behalf to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs or a combination of them and driving in marked lanes.

Shortly after news broke Saturday morning, the Cavs released an initial statement, saying they were aware of the incident and in the process of gathering more information. They also said they had no further comment -- until Wednesday, just a day after body-cam footage revealed more details about the arrest.BET $5, GET $200 BONUS BETS & $100 OFF NFL SUNDAY TICKET
