I tried it,but not for me.Instead I prefer the Simple Poached 4 min egg from this site.I cannot even with this!! I just bookmarked this recipe thinking I'd make it soon, and then realized I have heavy cream and was also hungry and just made it. Like two other reviewers said: regular butter seems so boring now, and this finally lets the whites shine!!! Everything is just...so....fluffy? Maybe fluffy isn't rhe right word.
I was making this from memory and actually brought the cream up to a simmer before cracking the eggs into it. Cooked till almost set while spooning cream over the eggs and then covered with a lid. Incredible. Even done incorrectly it was fabulous.I have made this recipe quite a few times now and we adore it in my house for breakfast! My husband and I were shocked at how delicious these incredibly simple eggs were.
