There was no one in the Mentor church's offices when the crash occurred, police say.
MENTOR, Ohio — A 70-year-old man was hospitalized Saturday after he lost consciousness while driving and crashed his vehicle into the offices of a church, police say.
The man tells police he was driving south on the 6800 block of Reynolds Road, just south of Lake Catholic High School, at about 5:50 p.m. Saturday when he “lost his vision.” His car veered left and off the road, first hitting a tree and then hitting the office building for Grace Church of Mentor.
