Monica debuted in WandaVision, revealing she was a SWORD agent and the daughter of Captain Marvel's best friend, Maria Rambeau. In the series, the character developed powers after coming into contact with the Scarlet Witch's Hex dome, which was put in place by a grieving Wanda.
