The DOJ says Capital One was only 1 of 30 whose servers were raided and abused by a former Amazon employee
Share to twitterThe personal details of around 100 million were compromised by a hacker allegedly secured access to Capital One's systems.Former Amazon employee Paige Thompson has been accused of not only hacking Capital One, but another 30 companies and in some cases using their servers to mine cryptocurrency.
Though the indictment doesn't name Amazon, but instead refers to a"cloud computing company," it's highly likely to be Jeff Bezos' tech giant.previously had access to a Slack channel where Paige discussed gaining access to Amazon Web Services servers. A Vodafone spokesperson said:"Our investigation has found no impact on Vodafone customer data or other personal data in connection with this incident. We will continue to work with the relevant authorities to support their investigation."
